Abstract

Embodied agents are increasingly accessible to users and deployed in critical domains, which creates an urgent need for intuitive, human-centred risk communication to ensure users understand potential risks and infer appropriate action. My research explores embodied agents as novel interfaces for risk communication, investigating how these agents can intuitively convey risk information and facilitate risk alignment as an integral part of risk communication. I examine how using embodied agents to communicate risk impacts users’ risk perception, decision-making, and understandability. Building on this work, my proposed research focuses on how agents can further support risk alignment by allowi..
